Cheers Beer, Wine & Spirits is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Cashier / Sales Associate to join our team. You will assist customers, operate the POS system, process cash and card payments, stock merchandise, maintain an organized store, and help customers find products. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service. Operate the POS system and accurately process cash, credit card, and digital payments. Check customer identification and follow all applicable alcohol sales laws and store policies. Assist customers in finding beer, wine, spirits, and other products. Recommend products based on customer needs. Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain displays. Assist with receiving deliveries and inventory counts. Keep the checkout area, sales floor, and storage areas clean and organized. Answer customer questions in person and over the phone. Follow store opening, closing, safety, and security procedures. Qualifications Must be 18 years or older. Retail, cashier, or liquor store experience is preferred. POS system experience is a plus. Friendly and professional communication skills. Bilingual candidates are welcome. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move bottles or cases. Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
